Overture Center Tickets and Seating
The Overture Center is the jewel of the Madison arts community, a $205 million gift to the city funded by private gifts from philanthropies and many smaller donors. The building opened on September 19, 2004, replacing the Civic Center.
Cesar Pelli designed the Jerome Frautschi-commissioned building. Pelli is a world-renown architect recognized as one of the ten most influential architects in America. This design featured a wall of windows and incorporates seven performance venues and numerous art galleries.
Wicked the Musical will be performed in the largest of the seven venues, the Overture Hall. The Hall has a capacity of 2,251 dispersed among four levels, including balconies with continental-style aisles.
The other performance venues include the Capitol Theater, the Playhouse, the Promenade Hall, the Rotunda Stage, the Wisconsin Studio & Rotunda Studio, and the Visual Art Galleries. The Capitol Theater is the second largest of the performance and houses the Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra and CTM Madison Family Theatre.
